FUGITIVE suspected killer Peter Dube, who was a car dealer, will finally face justice in Zimbabwe, after being on the run for nearly three years.

Mozambique extradited him today.

In a statement police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the latest development.

“The ZRP confirms that murder and attempted murder suspect, Peter Dube has been deported from Mozambique because of fake national identity and passport documents. A team of ZRP detectives will receive him at 1405 hours at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.”

Dube was wanted by the ZRP for fatally shooting three people and injuring another in Gweru in  2021.

He is alleged to have fled to South Africa, before relocating to Eswatini and later to Ireland.

However, luck ran out for Dube on 14 June, after he was arrested and convicted of violating Ireland’s immigration laws.

He was deported to Mozambique after claiming to be a citizen of that country having fraudulently acquired a passport.

The ZRP, through Interpol, then sought Dube’s extradition from Mozambique.

Allegations are that on 23 April 2021, Dube, fatally shot his second wife, Nyasha Nharingo’s suspected lover Shelton Chinhango.

After shooting Chinhango, he then killed his wife’s best friend, Gamuchirai Mudungwe.

Dube allegedly went on to shoot Nyasha and her sister Nyaradzo, and the latter died in hospital.
